Enterprise Engagement Programme
The county-wide Enterprise Engagement Programme is the result of collaboration between Choose Suffolk, Suffolk Chamber of Commerce and enterprise agency MENTA. For the first time the Enterprise Engagement Programme brings together key agencies to ensure that new businesses have the best possible support during their first three years.
The Enterprise Engagement Programme provides new businesses with comprehensive support, advice and a suite of services specifically aimed at offering support and guidance to start-up and early stage businesses in the county.
Participants in the Enterprise Engagement Programme will be provided with a number of key benefits, ranging from three years’ free business banking and workshops, to networking events, seminars and access to a free legal advice helpline.
Celia Hodson, Chief Executive of Choose Suffolk, said, “The comprehensive package offered by Enterprise Engagement to new and early-start businesses is an essential suite of products and support that offers huge benefits to any enterprise.
“The early months and years in any new business’s life is a crucial period, and the various elements that Enterprise Engagement encompasses, ranging from relocation support and sector-specific research, to one-to-one business advice and mentoring, alongside the business support opportunities offered by Suffolk Chamber, makes it a package that any business would be wise to fully exploit. These services and support can help to put in place the solid foundations that a new business can build upon.”
Services offered, in support of business, by Choose Suffolk as part of the Enterprise Engagement Programme include:
- Provision of research such as Tourism Trends Survey, Annual Business Survey, Quaterly Tourism Bulletin, Enhanced Snapshot and Consumer Panel
- Business handholding via welcome pack and information service for companies seeking more information about Suffolk
- Sector support events
- Tourism Roadshow events - these will be held at venues around the county in 2010.
